Practice Tests for End of Year Testing

If you are in class on January 24, you will use a worksheet with these instructions and questions.

2. Look for the Training Tests Link (the icon above) and click on it.


3. Click on "Sign In."   [When you really take the test, toward the end of the year, you will log in with our own individual username and password.]

4. Student Grade Level -- Select your grade from the drop down.  

5. Click on "Yes."

6. Under "Your Tests" select  
              "Start Reading Language and Listening Grades 6-8" Click on it. 
7. Choose Setting and click on "Select."
8. If it came up right, click on "Yes, Start My Test."
       If it asked whether to log out or continue, click on Continue.
  
9. Read through the 
Test Instructions and Help.  Read the parts that apply to you.
DO THIS:  On the example screen you are given on the below,  answer the questions and follow the directions.  

10. After reading through the Read through the
Test Instructions and Help, click on "Begin Test Now"

Our main purpose today is to get used to the way we take these tests.

11. Read the questions you can see on the right hand side.
             Try out the tutorials to learn the procedure for answering different types of questions. 
12.  Then read through the materials on the left hand side. 
           Try highlighting.
13.  Then answer the questions.  

             Try using strikethrough. 
     

Questions about the Test Instructions and Help

1) Why would you “flag” a question? 

2) Can you go onto the next page before you have answered all questions on that page? ___________

3)  Can you pause the test?  ____________

4) On the illustration below, find each of the buttons for
o   taking notes (global notes)
o   pausing the test
o   tutorials (that teach you about how to handle that type of question)
o   marking the item for review so you remember to look back at it later
o   ending the test
