Announcements and Reminders:
1. Do not forget to turn in or finish your January Book of the Month assignment. They were due last Friday. I am still in the process of grading them, so many of you you have the opportunity to finish or revise before I post the grade. Those of you whose grades are already posted may still finish and revise, but please do that right away. If you don't know how to do it, try reading the directions. Also, look at the examples.  
2. The February Book Assessment is on Nonfiction.

Pick up your composition book and candy paragraph. 1. Finish your paragraph about candy or (if done) quietly read your choice of materials. Remember RAFTS and ARMS. 2. Check your own paragraph about candy. Ask for a rubric. (Announcements and Reminders) 3. Discuss the paragraphs about candy. RAFTS and ARMS 4. Add a root word to the chart in your composition book.
