If you need to make up the district writing test, plan on a day after school. Let me know when you can stay for about 45 minutes or so.

1. Individual Reading Time and March book presentations. 2. Would anyone like to present their March book assessment to the whole class? 3. Prefixes and suffixes practice -- On the piece of paper you are given write: Your name and period and the underlined parts below: What do each of these words mean? Use your pink Prefix and Suffix Chart and your magical study guide. 1. transportation = (3 parts) a. trans = across b. port = carry c. tion = act or process 2. interjections = (4 parts) a. b. ject = throw c. d. 3. subtraction = (3 parts) a. b. tract = pull c. 4. Journal write in your composition book: Title it "Phobias" and add today's date. What frightens you? Write a half page or more about one or more things that scare you.  5. Begin reading The Giver. In your composition book, create a chart:

(vocabulary, summary, What is your alignment in the story?) 6. How would you write the information from this meme in complete, correct sentences? Make any corrections needed and add punctuation. Write it on the same paper with your Prefixes and Suffixes Practice.  |
