 4.   What happens when you add an  AAAWWUBBIS to the beginning of a sentence?

Rule: When an AAAWWUBBIS is placed at the beginning of a sentence, it causes a comma -- as in this sentence:
             “When the class was quietGooney Bird began her Monday story.” -- Lois Lowry, Gooney Bird Greene (2002)
Instructions:
1. Read through all of the complete sentences below (without the AAAWWuBBIS’s).  Notice that each is an independent clause and a simple sentence.  
2.  Now read each sentence with the AAAWWUBBIS on the front of it (see the example at the end of this chart) and finish the sentence with an independent clause that you make up.   Fix capitalization and punctuation.
