For next Tuesday and Thursday, bring your earbuds or other earphones
and a clean joke.
Bring a book to read in case you finish early. 





If you wish to enter your Gettysburg essay in the contest, pick it up from the bottom wire basket. The packets are mostly alphabetical.  Go to http://gettyready.org/  with your parents, and turn it in online TODAY.

Important:  
Today, we will take the post-test for the district writing test. 
Next week on Tuesday and Thursday we will take the State Core (SAGE) writing tests on argument and on informational writing.
Come to school well-rested and having eaten well.  
Try very hard not to miss those days.

2.  District Writing PostTest -- TESTING 
Make sure you are using

  • RAFTS to figure out what you should be writing,
  • ARMS to revise, 
  • SMILES to edit, 
  • and follow the format/pattern for your five paragraph essay.
Take a book to the lab in case you finish early.
  • Sit at your own computer/file folder number.
  • When you think you are done, look back to see if there is any way you can strengthen your argument.
  • Check your work carefully.
  • Submit and submit for score.
