With a newspaper article and a KWL chart, students filled out the first two parts of the chart about a guest speaker who will come on May 14 -- Mr. Tom Napierski.

2. Vietnam -- discuss in small groups the information students gathered from those who had been aware of what was going on during the war.
Information: The Vietnam War lasted from 1959 to 1975. The U.S. had sent in military advisers earlier, and started sending in troops in 1965. Over 58,000 U.S. soldiers died in the Vietnam War.
