Thesis as one sentence -- example

Beep! Beep! Beep! The alarm clock blares that it is time to wake. You roughly make out the scarlet colored numbers 6:30. Youth wake up fairly early to be able to finish their morning routine and have everything ready in time for school. But what if it didn't have to be that way? Since the 1970s, there has been a growing awareness that children's sleeping patterns are changing as the change into adolescents. Middle schools and high schools should start later in the day because students would be more alert, less likely to be late, and less deprived of sleep.
