Today’s  Agenda for Thursday/Friday, March 14/15, 2019: Review of Somebody -Wanted -But - So  Somebody  Wanted  But   So  Cinderella  Cinderella Cinderella  to go to the ball to be with the prince to be back with the prince  her stepmom wouldn't let her go  she has only until midnight  She's locked up when the prince comes her Fairy Godmother came she runs away, leaving her shoe the animals save her Why?  We use the Somebody-Wanted-But-So as a way to practice summarizing, noticing plot, and identifying characters and conflict. Listen to and follow along with Chapter 6, 7, 8 , filling out a  Somebody -Wanted -But - So  for each chapter. Prereading -- for chapter 8 -- write down your predictions about what it means for Jonas to be "selected."  In your composition book, make three predictions about what will happen next: 1. What do you think the "Receiver of Memory" means? 2. What will Jonas feel about being the  "Receiver of Memory" when he begins his training? 3. What do you think will change as Jonas begins his training?
