Year-End Schedule

Dear American Fork Junior High Parents and Students:

            This letter contains important end-of-year and summer information.  Please contact the school for further information at 801-610-8750 or visit our website at www.afjh.alpineschools.org and click on the “Calendar” link to see a complete schedule of events.

Yearbook Day- On Tuesday, May 29th students who have purchased a yearbook and do not have any outstanding fines will be issued a yearbook during A1.  Yearbooks may not be picked up early.  Students will attend all 8 classes that day.  J-DAWGS, bag of chips and a water bottle will be offered to students for $3.00. 

8^th Grade Completion-A celebration of those students who have met the requirements for 8^th grade completion will take place on Wednesday, May 30th. A brief assembly will be held that morning at 11:00 am in the new auditorium.  In addition, a celebration activity will be held that evening from 6:00-7:30pm.  Additional information and an invitation for eligible students will be coming.

9^th Grade Lagoon Day May 30^th: Lagoon fee wristband is $35 and must be paid online at www.myschoolfees.com until or at school until May 24th or only at school on May 25^th during CAVE Time.  Permission slip is required https://goo.gl/6Cu2tH\   Students are only eligible if: 1) Student has fewer than 5 tardies in the current quarter, 2) Student has NO failing grades 4^th quarter, and is on track to graduate, 3) Student has NO office discipline referrals.  Students meet at American Fork Front Runner station at 7:00am, 782 West 200 South, American Fork, Utah. Students should return to AF Front Runner station approximately 6:00pm.

Fines-Fine notifications will be given on Wednesday, May 23^th. Fines must be paid by 3:00pm Friday, May 25^th.

Fourth Term Report Cards-All report cards will be posted to Skyward the first week of June.

            Summer Office Hours-Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 12:00pm (excluding holidays) for June and July.

End of Year Activities

5/15   Orchestra concert 6:00pm.

5/16   Band Concert 6:00pm-Beginning Band, Concert Band

5/24   Money and permission slips due for Lagoon due $35.00, online.

5/29   Yearbook day, J-Dawgs during lunch cost $3.00

5/30   8^th grade completion 6:00pm-7:30pm

5/30   Lagoon Day for 9^th graders.  B-Day for all others.

5/30   Locker clean out

5/31   Last Day of School 8:15am-10:00am.  Buses run regular routes.
