Pros and Cons
Pros are for
something, in favor of it. (Thumbs
up)
Cons are against
something, not in favor of it. (Thumbs down)
When making an argument you could take the pro side or the con side.
It helps to understand both sides.
The best arguments are based on valid evidence, not just on
opinion.
We often look at pros and cons when we are making decisions.
We could use a T-Chart to show the pros and cons so we can
quickly compare the evidence for
one or another of the choices.
We should get rid of summer
vacation from school.
