The Formal Essay

1. This is a formal essay, so use the characters' full names:
Johnny Cade, Ponyboy Curtis, Robert (Bob) Sheldon,
Dallas Winston, Sherri (Cherry) Valance, etc.

Keith (Two-Bit) Mathews, Sodapop Curtis, Darrel Curtis, Steve Randle

2. Do not use contractions.

3. Do not use text-speak, emoticons, abbreviations.

4. Use third person. Do not us you, I, me, my, etc.

5. Use academic vocabulary (correctly).
