Bored? Board?

It does bother me when students say, "I'm bored,"  but I like this:

I'm bored.      In fact, you could say I'm card - bored.      Sorry.

"Board" and "bored" are one of our seventh grade pairs of commonly confused words you'll need to make sure you've mastered this year.

I get bored when I'm being lazy.

I used a board to cover the hole in the door.

The teachers write on the board. 

Don't fall in the water when you try to board the ship.
