1. Define dystopia.
2. How does seeing The Giver as a dystopian novel help you understand it?

Write in your composition book -- What will happen next? (after the end of the book)

Create a tri-panel about characters from the book.
Fold the page into three equal parts (hamburger), then fold in half the other way (hot dog).
Label the middle section "Character."
Each middle section is labeled with a name:
