1. Spelling Test:
Take about ten minutes to study.

- Clear your desks of everything except a pencil.
- Remember that you should not communicate with anyone but the teacher until she says the test is over.
- Mrs. Dorsey will give you the words verbally. Write them down on the bottom or back of the test.
- Write your answers legibly.
- Capitalize proper nouns. Do not capitalize your spelling words.
- Match the words to their meanings.
- Identify the character from The Outsiders who is being talked about in each quote that goes with a spelling word.
- When you are done, pick up the retake for last time if you need it, and complete the retake. Remember to capitalize when needed and to write very legibly.
If you finish early, you may quietly read a book.
We will correct today's test together.
